Implementation of the Week

• PDF Splitting Via Zoho APIs
  • The goal of this implementation was to process a document received by a customer into multiple files (based on page ranges) and upload those split PDFs into specific Workdrive folders
  • To accomplish this, we trigger a Deluge function that downloads the submitted PDF document upon receipt in the CRM
  • We then use Deluge to create 1 copy of that PDF per required page-split 
  • Next, we assign each copy a page-range array (start page, end page) based on parameters we’ve defined in our function
  • Last, we make an API call to the Combine PDFs API (available via Zoho Writer) that include those page-range values so truncate the document to only specific pages
  • Now that each copy is trimmed, we have effectively split the document and can load it to Workdrive
