Relating Data with Lookup Fields

This guide by Zoho takes a look at different aspects of creating relationships amongst your data inside Zoho Creator.  By the end of this guide you will understand how relating data works, the benefits of relating data, how to plan data relationships, and how to use lookup fields to relate data in Zoho Creator.

The phrase “relational database” sounds complicated, but really it’s just a technical term for something we encounter all the time. For example, every time you view your credit card statement, you’re looking at information from a relational database. Each month, millions of purchases are made with millions of credit cards. In order to search through that vast amount of information and find just the purchases relevant to you, a database relates your card number with your purchases.

Here are the table of contents from this guide:

  • Data in Creator
  • Relating Data in Creator
  • How to Create Relationships
  • Lookups and Reports
  • Automating with Lookup Fields
  • Fetching Data with Lookups
  • Support and Feedback
