In last week’s news, Zoho announced a major update to Zoho Campaigns that would remove many features inside campaigns. After a massive outcry from the community in regards to this update Zoho will reverse this update this week.
Here is the official Statement from Zoho:
“Hello,
We had recently written to you about the removal of a few features in our product. Many of you responded to the announcement and provided us with some critical feedback, for which we are thankful.
The idea behind the feature update was to:
Have a well-defined product positioning of both Zoho Campaigns and Zoho MarketingHub to help users decide between the two.
Improve the user experience within Zoho Campaigns by removing redundant features.
Streamline the product in order to facilitate smooth migration from Zoho Campaigns to Zoho MarketingHub when we release the 2.0 version of the latter.
However, after hearing your feedback, we realized we made a mistake in doing this at this point of time, without giving enough notice to our users. I sincerely apologize for this.
We will roll back this update of Zoho Campaigns early next week. These features will continue to exist in the product.
Once we release the new version of Zoho MarketingHub and provide smooth migration paths, we will revisit this decision.
We are moving in a direction where we want to remove complexities in Zoho Campaigns and make it light, easy to use, and provide consistent user experience between Zoho Campaigns and Zoho MarketingHub.
This will help customers seamlessly move to Zoho MarketingHub later when needed with all data intact.
We are committed to providing the best experience in all touchpoints to our partners and customers, that includes our product releases and updates.
However, this was an error of judgement from our end. I am sorry we let you down. Please be assured that this was an exception. We thank you again for your valuable feedback and assure you that we will work towards gaining back your trust and goodwill.
Regards,
Ramesh Sripathy
Head of Product Management, Zoho Campaigns and Zoho MarketingHub”
