- Early plans are underway for Zoho to enter the chipmaking industry. The big question remains: what will these chips be used for?
Implementation of the Week
- CRM Email Parser Configuration for Creating Accounts, Contacts, & Deals
- In this implementation, we’re working with a client that receives inbound prospects from a variety of different large organizations
- These large organizations do not allow for REST API integration. Instead, they just send form emails to a dedicated email address provided by our client
- Our goal was to route these emails into the CRM, but rather than create a Lead (as a traditional parser would), our client ideally wanted them to land as Contacts, Accounts, and Deals upon completion of parsing
- To accomplish this, we configured a CRM email parser where these emails are now sent. This parser is configured to immediately pass the data into Deluge for us to use there
- We use this data to first create a CRM Lead. The reason for this is that our client wanted these inbounds to show up in their Lead reporting metrics
- However, for this type of Lead, we auto-convert the lead to a Contact, Account, and Deal as they are pre-qualified for services
Code Share of the Week
- Get Data from Zoho Sheet via API
- Due to the client’s lack of access to Zoho Analytics, a solution was implemented using Zoho Sheets to update specific invoices retroactively. This was achieved by storing the necessary data in a file on Zoho Sheets, which supports API interactions similar to Zoho Analytics.
- The process involved fetching specific rows from a sheet using the Zoho Sheets API with defined criteria to select only the necessary data. After retrieving the data, each targeted invoice row was updated to mark the ‘UPDATED’ column as ‘TRUE’ using another API call.
- This approach demonstrates the flexibility of Zoho’s ecosystem, allowing for effective data manipulation and updates through API calls in Zoho Sheets, serving as an alternative to Zoho Analytics for handling specific data operations.
