Implementation of the Week
- Zoho Bookings + Zoho Analytics Custom Integration via Zoho Flow
- While ZBookings has some drawbacks, we do have a few clients successfully using it for sales/service bookings
- ZBookings allows for some very basic reporting/review of data, but it is very limited if you are using these Bookings as a core part of your workflow
- Using triggers within Zoho Flow, we can write Bookings data to Analytics upon bookings, rescheduling, and canceling Bookings.
- This allows for much deeper reporting and data analysis compared to what is possible natively in ZBookings
Things We Noticed
- Client-Side Scripting Now Works On Mobile Applications
- There has been no major announcement, but Zoho seemed to have sneakily pushed a huge update that now allows client-side scripting to work on mobile apps.
Code Share of the Week
- Standardized US State Name Formula Column for Zoho Analytics
- In the code, there are two if_case statements you can copy and paste into a Zoho Analytics formula column that will standardize US state names to either all be USPS abbreviations or the full state name. Both uses below assume the column name “State,” which is found at both the beginning and the end of the if_case. This can be replaced with whatever your particular column name is, just remember to change it in both places.
- This if_case will convert USPS abbreviations to full state names. If the value of the field does not match any USPS abbreviation, then the original value will be displayed.
