Implementation of the Week
- Prospect Location to Lead Conversion Process
- In this implementation, our goal was to provide our client a way to add “Locations” (ex: Car Dealership, Insurance Office, etc) for a specific Account that they want to target
- These Locations are different from Leads, in that we may not know the specific person at that location that we should be targeting
- To track this data, we added a custom module to the CRM where Location records can be created against specific Accounts
- These Location records can store the data about those Locations, as well as a few fields to enter the Lead information once it is discovered
- Once the user has fully filled out the Location, they can press a custom button that triggers a script to create a Lead from that Location information
- This build gave them an easy way to track these Locations, without cluttering the Lead database with non-actionable data
