Message Media/Smooth Messenger Update

• If you are an existing Smooth Messenger user as of right now, you don’t need to worry about anything.  However, everyone else will need to go through Message Media which will be $49 a month.

Implementation of the Week

• ZBookings // ZBooks Integration for Payment Management
  • In this implementation, we needed to solve for a way to set up our client to receive payment during a site visit consultation, without requiring payment upfront
  • Upon booking a certain meeting type within ZBookings, we trigger an automated sequence in Zoho Flow
  • This sequence first checks if the customer already exists in Books (searching on email). If they do not exist, we create the Customer
  • Next, we create an invoice with a due-date of the scheduled visit date, to be paid while the site visit is happening
  • Then, we check if the customer has any active credit cards on file to pay for their site visit
  • If the customer does not have a card on file, we send a request for payment submission via the ZSubscriptions API
  • One day before the event, if the customer still does not have a card on file, we resend the request for payment method and notify the operations team

Code Share of the Week

• Mass Send Statements (Outstanding Only) in Zoho Books
  • Shoutout to Elizabeth Clarke for sharing this week’s codeshare on Club Zenatta.
    • “The default Zoho Books bulk statement send functionality doesn’t allow you to specify that you want to send statements for outstanding transactions only. Since that’s the preferred functionality for our accounts department, I put together a function that’ll do it manually.”
